The ruling Bharatiya Janata party today kicked off its campaign in the state for the assembly elections with a Vaijya Sanlka yatre which gave call to all the party workers to strive hard to retain their power.
The party big wings who addressed the massive gathering explained their achievements of the bjp government during the last five years, incidentally for the first time in the southern parts of the country the bjp came to power.
Speaking on the occasion Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadesh shttar said that the bjp government has implemented number of popular programmes particularly for the famrers and provided loans with zero percent interest besides waived up Rs 25,000 on the crop loans.
Alleging that the opposition parties which have been trying to topple of the government on several occasion and even tried with breaking the party. However, the government has competed its terms, he added.
He said no body could tarnish the image of the party and the party is not run by the any individual.
Pointing out that the opposition parties has thought the government will collapse after few mlas and leaders resigned , however, nothing has happened besides the elections would be conducted under the bjp ruling , he said.
He also called upon the opposition party leaders not to make low level statements which could show their own attitude rather than gaining anything.
Newly elected BJP state President Prahalda joshi said that the BJP which declared the captain for the team to lead in the elections, howver, the congress party which could not possible to select their captain and how could win the match.
He said that when the opposition party congress which talks on corruption in the state, however, at the centre UPA government with full of corruption. Even the union government has failed to providing funds for the state, since the state has been facing severe drought situation from last seven years.
Referring to B.S.Yeddiyurappa”s newly formed Karnataka Janata party, he said that the party which could not won single seats in as many as 147 assembly constitutes in the state during the recent ULB elections, how could they demolish the nation party, he questioned.
BJP National general secretary Anantha kumar, speaking on the occasion blamed the union government for the price rises for each and every commodity and failed to control. Highlighted the bjp governments achievements which was appreciated by the every one and expressed his confidence that bjp would retain its power in the state under the leadership of chief minister Jagadish shatter.
Former chief minister D V Sadananda gowda, admitting that there might of some mistakes among the leaders and internal fights, however, such leaders who have left the party and now it has become complete clean and rebuild the image of the party The party leaders would tour in the state in coming days and explained government achievements during the last five years, he added.
Former bjp state president and deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa said that the differences among leaders will be in the all political parties , however, the same has to correct it take the party for a victory was most important.
He alleged that congress party which has an internal understanding with the KJP and tried several occasion to topple of the government, but could not sustained.
Speaking to media persons, Shettar said that his party is plunging into the election arena from Mysore itself with the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari who symbolises the victory of good over evil.
He expressed confidence of steering his party to victory with maximum number of seats in the Assembly.
Prahlad Joshi, who is visiting Mysore for the first time after assuming charge as the State President, said that he was overwhelmed to do the honour of launching the party’s poll campaign from Mysore, the abode of Goddess Chamundeshwari. No body will leave the party any more, he added.
