A priest in a temple in Gavipuram was carrying a grey coloured powder mixed with little water in a copper bowl. Devotees thought it was a vibhuti (Sacred Ash) paste and went ahead to apply it on their forehead. Priest kept telling devotees not to touch the bowl. A few devotees took it despite strict caution. He hurriedly went ahead and put the bowl at a corner. He told us later that he was carrying the sabeena powder(Plate cleaning powder) for giving it to servants for cleaning the vessels.
