Centre for Public Policy & IIMB to host ‘Inside Policy: Talk Series’ on ‘Anna Bhagya Scheme: Policy to Implementation’

ENARADA, Bangalore, September 21, 2013:

Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister, Food & Civil Supplies, Ms Lata Krishna Rao, Principal Secretary, and Harsh Gupta, Commissioner, Food & Supplies, will offer their expert views in a session titled ‘Policy to Implementation: Anna Bhagya Scheme’ on September 25, 2013 at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

The session will take place at C-11, IIMB, from 4:15pm to 5:45 pm, on September 25, 2013.

While Mr Dinesh Gundu Rao will highlight the policy aspects of the ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme, Ms Latha Krishna Rao will talk about translating policy into programme, and Mr Harsh Gupta will share the implementation experience of the scheme.

Professor G. Ramesh, Chairperson, Centre for Public Policy, IIMB, says: “If we, as a country, hope to become food security ready, our experiences in policy making, program designing and operational management from the Anna Bhagya Scheme can show the way forward.”

‘Inside Policy Talk Series’ is an initiative of IIMB’s Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM) and the Centre for Public Policy (CPP). The Talk Series creates a platform for discussing issues that impact policy making.
