ENARADA, Mysore,March  4 ,2014:

Karnataka revenue minister V.Srinivasa Prasad today launched the Boomi project, first time in the state under the land monitoring cell and Atalji Jana sneha centre directorate at varuna, the chief minister’s constituency.

Speaking on the occasion he said this pilot project facilitates easy and hassle free access to documents. All land related documents like khata will be available at the hobli itself and there is no need for the beneficiaries to travel from taluk panchayats to city offices to obtain them. “Even the students of government schools can now get laminated caste certificates at the school during admissions, which is valid lifelong”, Srinivasa prasad said. They can even apply for income certificate at school he added.

He also launched a major development works worth Rs 4 crores, at one of the top pilgrimage centre of the Mysore city.  Similar to facility at Thirupathi Temple, devotees climbing Chamnudi Hills can also be relaxed as the new initiative will protect them from hot sun and rains.

“Devotees climbing more than 1000 steps of Chamundi Hills can soon expect a shade over their heads” Minister disclosed.

People can now apply on line for the 34 available services at Naada kacheries , said Basavaraj, principal secretary, revenue department.
