EENARADA, Mysore, September 25, 2013:
The gramena dasara , as part of the dasara festivities , began with a cultural and traditional programmes at the temple town of Nanjangud today.
The event was formally inaugurated by the Karnataka rural development and panchayt raj minister H K Patil .
The dasara festivities has become the nada habba (State Festival) and the government has extended support to rural areas in organizing such gramena dasra in the taluk headquarters .
Speaking on the occasion H.K.Patil said that this kind events would help the unity among the rural masses with their cultural and traditional activities and also create a platform to display their talents .
“The cultural activities of north Karnataka and south Karnataka should exchange for a better relationship” he said .
District incharge minister V. Srinivasa Prasad was present on the occasion.
