ENARADA, Mysore, October 14, 2013:
A colourful torch light parade participated by hundreds of army personnel, police personnel, school children and other security forces at Bannimantap stadium brought the curtains down on the world famous Mysore dasara festivities here tonight.
The parade began with the karnataka governor Hansraj Bhardwaj taking the guard of honour and salute from the police forces followed by an impressive march past.
Followed by the cultural dances by the various artists who came here from across the country. A ten minutes laser show was also part of the parade.
The events began with 250 year old tent pigging by the army personnel on a horse riding. This event attracted the crowd with speed of the horse and skill of the rider who picked up the sticks and other things in a designated spots. The event was conducted by the MEG group Bangalore.
For the first time two dollu kunitha teams each consisting of hundred members gave a tremendous performances with a huge sound in the stadium.
The spectacular acrobatic display of bikes driven by world famous tornado troupes which was the cynosure of the all the eyes in the jam packed stadium.
Fireworks lit the night sky with bright colours.
karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah , Chairman of the Karnataka Council D.H. Shanakramurthy, District incharge minister V. Srinivasa Prasad and others attended in the parade.
