Bangalore, March 7, 2013:
HDFC Bank plans to open 50 branches in Karnataka in the next financial year, a key
official of the private sector lender said here.

Karnataka — in Dakshina Kannada district’s taluk headquarters town of Sullia.
The proposed expansion includes in the districts of Chamarajnagar and Kolar, where the bank currently does not
have any branches, branch banking head – South, HDFC Bank, Dhiraj Relli, told reporters.
“By March 31, 2014, we plan to have 200 branches in Karnataka (from the current 150)”, he said. “We see huge
potential in rural and semi-urban areas”.
The bank, promoted by housing finance company Housing Development Finance Corporation, currently has 1069 ATMs across Karnataka, including 874 here.
