22 families of Kalikamba slum near Kalikamba temple of Mandya town are being shifted to a place belonging to slum board next to Kalikamba temple. With this, curfew has been imposed to maintain law and order in 500 meters range around Kalikamba temple of Mandya town on 1-3-2013 till midnight under Indian penal code section 144.
Public may not roam in the curfew imposed areas with any weapons. Gathering of more than 5 people at one place is prohibited.
M. S. N. Babu, Assistant Commissioner of Mandya has stated that this prohibition does not apply to staff/officers on duty to maintain law and order, marriages and funerals.
