KISS stands for social transformation: Priti Adani

Kalinga Institute of Social Scienes (KISS) is the role model for all towards social transformation, according to Dr. Priti G. Adani.

Dr. Priti G. Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation and also Chairperson of the Governing Body of Adani-KISS Residential School, visited many campuses of KIIT and units of KISS and addressed ten thousand girl students of KISS on December 20.

Addressing the students Dr. Adani said, “It is a magical moment. I have never seen ten thousands of girls together. The love and affection that is showered upon me today is the greatest gift to me. The growth of nation is accelerated if the population is educated. KISS is giving best education as it’s evident from your glowing faces. It’s my pleasure to see so much work for the girls. Everyone knows that girls have to be educated to become virtuous citizens,” she added. Advising students of KISS she said, one should never underestimate themselves as everyone can dream and achieve. There are ups and downs in life. All one has to do is accept failures and never give up. Instead, find an opportunity in every threat and always be grateful.

The first governing body meeting of Adani-KISS Residential School was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Priti G. Adani in the presence of Dr. Achyuta Samanta held recently.

The meeting decided that the infrastructure work will start very soon and completed within six months. On October 24, KISS had signed an agreement with the Adani Group to set up a replica of KISS in Baripada of Mayurbhanj district.

As per the MoU, the Adani Foundation would provide one-time infrastructure assistance for the purpose. KISS has already purchased land in many tribal-populated districts including Koraput, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sundargarh and Keonjhar to set up replicas of KISS.
