Mangalore, May 2, 2013 :

Gujarath Chief Minister Narendra Modi asked people of Karnataka to choose between vote-bank politics practiced by Congress or BJP’s way of forward development.  Addressing a massive public meeting at Nehru Maidan in Mangalore this morning as part of his last leg of campaigning in Karnataka Modi made a blistering attack on the Congress for vote-bank politics.  “Karnataka has to choose if it wants vote bank politics of Congress or embrace politics of development of BJP”, he stated.

Modi said that BJP got an opportunity to form government in the state and despite the party facing internal problems the growth trajectory of the state continued.  The party did not compromise development at any cost.  The centre has everything at its disposal and is not able to manage the country’s capital. How can it take care of Karnataka if voted to power? He asked.

He said the Congress-led UPA is weak and termed Sarabjith’s killing as extra judicial and asked the government for an answer on how Sarabjith who should have been in a separate cell being a death convict was attacked by other prisoners.  India had the time to create world opinion by taking the world community into confidence.  But Indian government left Sarbjith Singh’s family alone to fight for him.  He lamented that  there is no one in the world who can speak on behalf of Hindustan.

He ridiculed Rahul Gandhi referring to him as the ‘golden spoon boy’ for his remarks that he treats Mahatma Gandhi as his Guru and respects his ideals.  “If he really respects Gandhi then he should have known the Mahatma Gandhi’s last wish was that Congress should be dissolved having attained independence.  If you are treating him as your guru, we are all waiting when you are trying to disband the party to fulfill the last wish of Mahagma Gandhi”, Modi said.

He charged the Congress of its agenda of Pink revolution.  “The country has witnessed green revolution and white revolution.  But Congress is determined to bring pink revolution by slaughtering cows and exporting mutton to other countries by drawing the blood of the cattle”, he stated.

“Congress has taken wrong decisions time and again.  Animal population has decreased due to cattle slaughter.  Under the Congress regime, cattle smuggling continues unabated in the country. Cattle are being smuggled into Bangladesh and from there to other places, but Congress is silent. Do not allow Congress to enter Karnataka,” he stated.  The only way out of this mess he said is to have a Congress-free Karnataka and Congress-free India.

Modi said before his address that his coming to Mangalore was in answer to the challenge thrown by the Congress to bring him to Mangalore.  “My coming here has proved the Congress wrong”, he declared.
