The Gujarat-based Aryan paper group has come up with a novel cardboard bed that can be set up in a few minutes and is also cost-effective.

With COVID-19 cases increasing exponentially, there is stress on the healthcare industry and many hospitals are facing a severe shortage of beds. With lockdown, it would be difficult to ramp up the infrastructure too.

This bed made out of corrugated board using Kraft paper weighs around 10 kg (load capacity is 200 kg; height-3 feet, length-6.5 ft, and width- 3 ft) which makes it easy for transporting.

The assembling of beds is also easy as it requires no extra tools.
