The office-bearers of Nimahans Kannada Koota are excited as their work was commended by none other than Kannada Development Authority.
Teaching Kannada language classes for NRI’s, organising Kannada film festivals especially on the psychology subjects, persuading with Government to provide job opportunities for Kannadigas on a priority basis and other Pro Kannada initiatives of Nimhans Kannada Koota (NKK) were appreciated by T S Nagabharana, Chairman of Kannada Development Authority (KDA).
The delegates from NKK met T S Nagabharana in Vidhana Soudha on February 27 and invited him as the chief guest for their annual mega Kannada event ‘Chitrada Chiguru’ scheduled during the Ugadi festival. T S Nagabharana agreed to their request and assured all the support from KDA to further take Kannada language projects to newer heights.
Speaking to eNarada, Deepa, one of the delegates who met KDA chairman said they are excited as their selfless work in serving the Kannada language is being recognised and appreciated. Deepa further said, “There is a holistic atmosphere in NIMHANS, and every staff carries special respect for the Kannada language and culture. NKK is committed to working for the cause of Kannada language. We are delighted and look forward to organise mega Kannada event ‘Chitrada Chiguru” in a zeal.”
