Poojary lambasts BJP government during Padayatra

Senior Congress leader Janardhana Poojary concluded his two-day padayatra in support of Mangalore South candidate J R Lobo today by giving a clarion call to the people to vote for the Congress and teach a lesson to the BJP.  Addressing people at Bunts Hostel Circle on the second day of the padayatra,  Poojary lambasted the BJP government for corruption and inefficiency.

“The BJP has made the six crore people of Karnataka bow our heads in shame.  In the last five years the leaders were busy amassing wealth and land and fighting for Chief Minister’s post.  We taught a lesson to the BJP a month back and we have to do the same in the forthcoming assembly elections”, Poojary pointed out.

He also said that if Congress comes to power permission will be given to people to build houses in plots less than five cents.  He also said if his party comes to power they would not raise house and property tax.

Poojary had embarked on a two-day Padyatra from April 18, 2013 starting from Margansgate concluded the same at Urva store junction.

On the first day  Poojary covered areas like Jeppu Market, Cascia High School, Nandigudda, Valencia, Kankanady, Bendorewell, Joythi circle, Hampankatta and concluded it at the State Bank circle.

Today April 19, 2013  he began his padyatra began at 3 pm from Congress election office at Kadri toll gate  covering areas like Mallikatta Junction, City Hospital, Bunts Hoste, PVS circle, Besant Road, Ballalbagh, Lalbagh, KSRTC Bus Stand, Bejai Kapikad, and concluded at Urva Kottara Junction.  In today’s padayatra Poojary was accompanied by Mangalore South candidate J R Lobo, Rohan Monteiro and other Congress leaders and followers.
