ENARADA, Mysore, September 20,2013:
President of India Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the new building of JSS Hospital on September 23.
Addressing the media persons JSS Mahavidyapeetha executive secretary B N Betkruru, today said that the state- of –the –art hospital was constructed at the cost of Rs 400 crores and one of the biggest facility with 1800 beds under one roof. It was also one of the biggest critical and emergency care facilities with 260 beds.
The inauguration is held in commemoration of 98th Jayanthi Celebrations of His Holiness Dr. Shri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji.
Karnataka Governor Hansraj bhardwaj, preside over the function , karnataka chief minister Siddaramiah will release special issue of prasada and union minister for surface transport and national highways Oscar Fernandes will release a special issue of Jss masa patrhike on the occasion, he said.
JSS Hospital director Carnal DR R K Chaturvedi said that the hospital provides service in 37 specialties/ super specialties and has 55 special clinics.
He added that the Mysore city has already become one of the biggest tourism centre and with the opening of the JSS hospital it was also a great opportunity for medical tourism .
“Nearly more than 300 doctors including specialists and another 300 postgraduate medical students will support all kinds of services by 24×7 in the hospital,” DR R K Chaturvedi said.
He said the hospital authorities s have also plans to provide insurance scheme for the patients come to the treatment and intend to have insurance policy with 50 percent share by the hospital for one year.
JSS university vice chancellor DR. Suresh said that there was understanding between the university and JSS hospital for provide clinical facilities for the medical students besides taking up various research works by the students
In order to give awareness among the people the JSS hospital authorities have plans to take up a medical camp at the free of cost from September 25 to October 3 at the new hospital premises .
