New Delhi, May 22, 2013:
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who is in New Delhi, met Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Union Minister for Rural Development today.
During the meeting both the leaders discussed on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act in the state.
Government of India has approved a total length of 16272 Km under PMGSY-I for Karnataka. Out of this, 15959 Km has been completed till the end of April 2013. Karnataka State ranks very high in the country in the quality of execution of these works. Union Government has also approved 2245kms under PMGSY-II. ENN
