ENARADA, Mysore, October 1,2013:
A replica of the Golden throne studded with 1 lakh roses and a 10,000 roses-studded flower pyramid would be the star attractions in this year’s Flower Show, as part of the Dasara Festivities commencing here from October 5
The flower show would be inaugurated by Horticulture Minister Shamanur shivashankarappa at Curzon Park near the Palace on the same said said Chairman of Flower Show Sub-committee P V Gopal, CEO zilla panchuat here today.
Speaking to journalists, he said in addition to the star items, 45 varieties of vegetables and 60,000 flower pots displaying varieties of flowers would be on show. The number of competitions from the participants in the flower show would also be held during the ten day event.
Corporate houses and other institutions across the city will also participate in the flower show which will held for 10 days from October 5.
In order to provide information to farmers an Horticultural equipments exhibition besides seminars will also be organized part of the flower show he added.
