Suna Besa of Lord Jagannath at KISS Shrivani Kshetra attracts large number of devotees

ENARADA, Bhubaneshwar, July 19, 2013:

Large number of devotees thronged to see Suna Besa of Lord Jagannath at KISS (Kalinga institute of Social Sciences) Shrivani Kshetra today.

The Suna bhesa or Bada Tadau bhesa or Raja bhesa happens the day after the return of the Lords from Gundicha (Bahuda, the return journey of Sri Jagannath Rath Yathra).

Lord dresses-up with golden ornaments, weapons even not only that, all the devotees see lord Jagannath’s incomplete hand and legs with completed golden arms, palms and feet. All rituals completed before the Besa of Chaturddha Murthis.

As part of completion of Sri Jagannath Rath Yathra, a special devotional cultural evening was organised. Blind artists from Kalinga Sangitha Samithi group presented a heart touching ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ program.

Three Blind sisters , two of them sang songs praising different qualities Lord Jagannath while one of them played ‘Tabla’,  added a remarkable experience to audience. Other blind male singers too performed well on playing Harmonium and Keypad.   KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta who sat among the audience enjoyed the musical program and appreciated every member of the group by  shaking hand with them.

Sources said, Sri Payar, Sri bhuja, Sri Kirit Odhiyani Kundar, Surya ,Chandra , Adakani. Different bides like Khagada, Kadamba, Tilaka chandrika Alaka, Ghoba Kanthi, Hala Musala, Bahada Mali were dressed up to Lord Balabhadra.

Goddess Subhadra dressed up with Kiriti, Odiani, Kana, Surya, Chandra, Ghagada mali, Kadamba Mali, Tadagi and Sevati mali.

Sri Jagannath  was dressed up with Sri Payar, Sri Bhuja, Kiriti, Odiani, Chandra Surya, Kana, Adakari, Ghagada Mali, Kadamba Mali, Tilak, Chandrika, Alaka, Jhobakanthi,  Swarna Chakra, Ropya Sankha, Harida, Kadamba Mali and Sevati Mali.

It can be recalled that  Bahuda yathra was successful in KISS yesterday.

The Bahuda Yatra, the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, concluded peacefully at Shrivanikhetra of KISS on 18th July, 2013. Rituals associated with this auspicious occasion like Mangala Arati, Mailama, Tadapalagi, RoshaHoma, Abakasha, Surya Pooja, Dwarapala Pooja, etc commenced early morning as per the ethics and rituals of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Temple of Shrikshetra, Puri.
