Annual Sendal (sandalwood) urs started at Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudan swamy darga in Chikmagalore district on Wednesday. Traditional rituals of the urs were held under the strict supervision of the district administration. Meanwhile family members of Gouz mohuudin shakadri and some muslim devotees staged protest against the district administration for restricting entering inside the cave shrine./ ENN
