When we think of Dose or rather a Masale Dose, one of the first hotels that strike our mind is Vidyarthi Bhavan (VB). The VB’s iconic masala dose has made the city popular on food maps.
Recently, there has been a buzz over a social media post from VB stating that it will soon come to Malleswaram. Since then, there has been a war of words over VB’s Malleswaram journey. Many wonders where the VB will be located or the new menu.
However, the big news is here: VB may not actually open an outlet in Malleswaram at all.
Its cryptic social media message only points to VB in Malleswaram soon without giving out details further.
When eNarada NEWS spoke to Ramakrishna Adiga, one of the pioneers in making VB a household name, he said, “We are not opening any new outlet in Malleswaram. Instead, we are planning a cultural program in Malleswaram.”
eNarada has got credible information from the T Chowdiah Memorial hall that Arun Adiga who currently runs VB has booked the auditorium for cultural programs on May 6-8.
So, it is said that VB will debut in Malleswaram for a cultural program and not for any hotel outlet. On May 6, the cultural program will be for invitees only while it will be open to the general public on May 7 and 8.
So, for all those of you dreaming of relishing VB’s Masale Dose, you may still have to head out to Gandhi Bazaar to try the authentic one as the current buzz over Malleswaram’s debut is nothing but a gimmick.
