As the glory of Hasanambha Devi temple (HT) is growing, Hassan district administration is planning to launch a website for the temple, to facilitate devotees across the country.
HT is situated in Hassan city, 184KM away from Bangalore, on Bangalore -Mangalore Highway.
Temple history, Opening and closing dates with timings of Darshan, photos, videos, route map, online enquiry, rituals, pooja details, available items in sales counter including sarees which was offered to Goddess, facilities available in the temple premises and other useful information will be included in the proposed website.
The HT opens only for 10-16 days in a year but has earned a fame as the second richest temple in Hassan district after Belur Chennakeshava Temple. Both the temples generates a revenue of over Rs.1.25 Crores each per annum, and got ‘A’ category status by Muzrai department.
“Every year there is a steady increase in visitors to the Hasanambha temple and we are working on developing a website for the sake of devotees and general public who are interested to know about history of temple and its opening dates,” said Gopala Krishna, additional deputy commissioner, Hassan.
According to the sources from Deputy Commissioner’s office in Hassan, there are five temples comes under B’ Category and 248 temples under ‘C’ category, depending on revenue it generates.
