Is Kannada’s ace film director Yogaraj Bhat making a movie for Amitabh Bachchan? This is the latest grapevine in Sandalwood that Mr Bhat is all set to make his directorial debut in Bollywood!
A close source of Mr Bhat confirmed it to Enarada.com that Yogaraj Bhat and his team were busy preparing the story and script work was in final stages.
The story is said to be best suited for Mr Bachchan playing a lead role in a Bollywood flick. Once the preliminary work was ready, Mr Bhat was ready to fly to Mumbai to have a story telling session with Bachchan. If the Big B is impressed, then Bhat will be the first Kannadiga to direct Bollywood superstar. It is said that Mr Bachchan has a penchant for south directors. He had earlier worked with a Telugu film director Puri Jagannadh for a Bollywood flick-Budda Hoga Tera Baap.
Yogaraj Bhat who is popularly known as Bhatru became a household name in Karnataka with his hit movie Mungaru Male. The director, lyricist, producer and also a screen writer is credited of introducing some of the very talented technicians to the film industry.
So, now one wonders whether Bhat will also pen lyrics for a Hindi movie as he is known to write songs for all his movies. Incidentally, each of his song has turned out to be a chartbuster.
