With a clear agenda of regaining power in the state, Karnataka unit of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is working on many initiatives including reviving its medical cell. The party believes that promoting  the new concept, ‘Physicians and Politicians are coming together to change the society’ may work wonders.

Doctors, technicians and paramedical staff from across the state attended the first ever State executive committee meeting of the ‘medical cell’ today at the BJP office in Bengaluru.

It was decided to strengthen the cell by appointing office bearers in all the assembly constituencies in the first phase.

Once the network of healthcare professionals established, it will  be easy to organise medical camps or any other programs simultaneously  across the state, said Dr. Manjunath, Convenor of the cell.

“We can make a huge difference by giving suggestions to Government on issues related health care,” said Dr.Manjunath.

BJP leaders declared  ‘Doctors’ holds special respect in the society and their direct involvement in party affairs will further boost the image of the party.

Though medical cell started one and half years ago, it turned inactive over sudden death of then convenor Dr. Bhandary, soon after forming the cell. By reviving the medical cell, total number of cells working under BJP karnataka has increased to  42.
