ENARADA, Bangalore, July 10, 2013:
IBS Business School held the convocation for the batch of 2013 for the Post Graduate Programme for Management (PGPM) on Saturday 6th July. Event took place at the school’s campus at Kengeri on the Bangalore- Mysore road.
The convocation began with the welcome address by the Director Dr. Balakrishnan followed by the yearly report. Priyanshu Sharma was awarded gold medal and Harsh Sethia was awarded Silver medal for academic performance. Arushi Masaldan bagged the all-rounder award.
The Chief Guest Harish Bhat, Managing Director and CEO, Tata Global Beverages Ltd.in his address emphasised on the Six Ds of Excellence: 1.Dreaming about excellence and perfection, 2.Daring to rise above the ordinary, 3.Detail in planning and execution for excellence, 4.Dedication, 5.Doing the job and 6.Delivery and results.
Special Guest of Honour, Prof S Jagadish, Chairperson (Retd) of the Quantitative Methods and Information Systems at the IIM, Bangalore, truly motivated the students by speaking on ‘stepping out into the real world.’ He observed that the current education system only aided students to face examinations and not life.
Others who graced the occasion included, and Madame Sobharani Yasaswy, President ICFAI Society and the wife of the Founder, (late) Shri N J Yasaswy as well as Wg Cdr R R Reddy, Registrar ICFAIAN Society.
