ENARADA, Bangalore, August 4, 2013:

Juniper Networks, in its efforts to help the victims of the tragic Uttarakhand floods, organied a 5km charity run, called ‘The Juniper Run’, today.

The Run, which took place at Juniper Networks’ Exora campus at Marathahalli, saw up to 1000 participants, and all are employees of the Juniper Networks’ India Excellence Centre.

For every employee who participated in the marathon, Juniper Networks will be contributing blankets worth Rs.300 to the Uttarakhand Relief.

Alongside the marathon initiatives, the company has also encouraged its employees to make a donation of their choice directly from their salaries.

The collective donation, along with contributions from the Juniper Networks Foundation Fund (JNFF), saw a total amount of over Rs. 65,00,000 which will be handed to the ‘Save the Children’ organisation, to be donated to the victims of the Uttarakhand floods in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.

Speaking on the initiative, Sridhar Sarathy, vice president, Operations, India Excellence Center, Juniper Networks India said, “Lots of families have lost their near and dear ones in Uttarakhand disaster and many are going through untold suffering. Through their participation in the run, our employees have shown their concern and support for this cause and have contributed generously towards the relief and rehabilitation efforts. We hope our efforts can make a difference in the lives of the families affected.”
