Bangalore, May 6, 2013:

redBus.in started 2013 with quite a few goodies for its customers with many state of the art innovations such as “Virtual Bus Stops” & “Live Bus Tracking”. Today redBus.in announced partnership with Karnataka State Road Transport (KSRTC) to sell bus tickets online through its website www.redBus.in

With this partnership, redBus.in customers can book tickets across all luxury buses operated by KSRTC such as Airavat and Rajahamsa. There are no additional booking charges and customers can choose the seat of their choice at the time of booking.

Marking the announcement, Phanindra Sama, CEO Pilani Soft Labs said, “We are excited with this partnership because now redBus.in has complete access across both state owned and private buses of Karnataka. This means we offer most choices to our customers.”

KSRTC has 2700 services and covers practically every route across Karnataka. It has a large suite of AC buses such as Airavat, Airavat Bliss, Airavat Superia, Mercedes-Benz Class, Volvo Club Class and Volvo Gold Class. The non-Volvo luxury buses are Rajahamsa Executive Bus, Corona AMBAARI and Corona AMBAARI Sleeper bus.

The Airavat Bliss is a special mention as it comes with onboard pantry, toilet, 60 plus live channels on individual seats and Wi-Fi.

redBus.in already has partnerships with 3 other state owned Road Transport Corporations – Rajasthan RTC, Goa RTC & Bihar RTC.
