ENARADA, Mysore, July 20,2013:

The krishanaraja sagar (KRS) reservoir, built across the river Cauvery  near Mysore, has been  receiving  heavy inflow following continuous rains in kodagu district  and  the catchment areas.

The level reading this evening  at 117 feet against the maximum level of 124.80 feet.

The inflow was at the rate of 24000cusecs while the outflow was pegged at 4000 cusecs . During the last two  years the reservoir has not  reached its maximum  capacity.

The level at the Kabini reservoir at Beechanahalli in H.D. Kote was 2280.50ft against the full reservoir level of 2,284 feet.  The inflow was 38000ft and the outflow was at the rate of 40,000 cusecs.

Harangi reservoir level was 2857.41 ft, against the full reservoir level of 2,858 feet. While the inflow was 11,000 cusecs, the outflow was 8,500 cusecs.
