The first day of the winter session of the state legislature witnessed protest by farmers inside Suvarna Soudha premises and  road blocks, fiery speeches and commotion around Suvarna Soudha.

The BJP had organised a massive protest rally of farmers alleging present congress government doing nothing for farmers, Sugar Cane growers under the leadership of Kodihalli Chandrashekar held a roadblock resulting in heavy traffic jam and another group of farmers led by Kurubur Shanthkumar shouted slogans inside the Suvarna Soudha premises.

Farmers expressing their anger inside the Suvarna Soudha was considered the most embarrassing situation for the Congress Government, as they (farmers) managed to shout slogans inside suvarna soudha where assembly session was going on.

Entire electronic media was getting ready to air the speeches of congress leader Ugrappa in the Congress office room in the first floor, when suddenly slogans started by farmers in the ground floor. The unexpected slogans against government inside the suvarna soudha despite tight security made top IPS officers and ACS home department nervous.

Leaving the Press meet of Ugrappa, media ran towards ground floor to cover the protest.

Police have brought the leaders of the agitating farmers to have a dialogue with CM and left them without proper directions. This made the farmer leaders to protest and finally CM Siddaramaiah met and discussed with them for about 10 minutes with a assurance of instructing Sugar cane factories to fulfil the demands of cane growers.
