29 Ministers to take office in Karnataka tomorrow. CM rushes to Mysore to pay homage.

Mysore,  May 17, 2013:

The Siddaramaiah Cabinet will be expanded  tomorrow, with induction of 29 Ministers.

They would be sworn in at Glass House in Raj Bhavan at 10.30 am, with Governor H R Bhardwaj administering the oath of office.

This was disclosed to newsmen at the airport by Chief Minister Mr Siddaramaiah who directly flew into Mysore from New Delhi by a special aircraft after a three day visit to the capital to discuss with the Party central leaders on the formation of the new ministry.

Siddaramaiah rushed to visit the family of his childhood friend Ramanna, who died here. Mr. Siddaramiah and ramanna were sharing a same room in the city for long time while he was studying .

Siddaramaiah declined to come out with the names of ministers who would be sworn in tomorrow, but said “watch the swearing in ceremony”.

All top officials were present in the airport. After a brief stay in the city  chief minister returned to Bangalore .

Lad brothers — Anil and Santosh — may not make it to the list, as also D K Shivakumar, according Congress sources, as some within the the party exerted pressure on the central leadership not to give berth to those allegedly involved in illegal mining scam and facing corruption charges.

Meanwhile, efforts were on to make former Minister Kagodu Thimmappa the Speaker of the new House but he has reportedly rejected the offer.

Since, there will be no deputy Chief Minister’s post in the Cabinet, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshwara would likely to continue in his existing post.
