50 Child labourers rescued from Bag Knitting factories in Bangalore

Bangalore , January 22, 2013 ;  The Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore urban today raided Bag Knitting factories in Jali Mohalla  and saved  more than 50 children  belonging to  Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha states.

The Deputy Commissioner , Bangalore Urban, B.C. Prakash said that  the children rescued are in the age group of 8 -14 Years  and they will be kept in Remand Home till their parents  arrive.

Officials from the Labour Department, Police Department and women & child welfare Department along with the volunteers of ‘Bachpan Bachavo’ N.G.O. joined hands with the D.C. in conducting  the raid.
