Delhi, May 16, 2013:
Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS has recently been nominated as a member of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), a statutory body of Govt. of India.
A notification to this effect has been published in The Gazette of India, No. 976, dated May 1, 2013.
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has nominated Samanta to NCTE in recognition of his commendable contribution in the field of mass education.
He has become the first Odia to become a member of this body.
Samanta will officiate in this capacity for a tenure of three years and be involved in framing policy on various matters in NCTE. NCTE, the apex body for policy making in the area of school education, has secretary-level officials of Govt. of India and eminent educationists as its members.

Dr. A. Samanta has not only been making records one after another but also making a History. The pages of this history are indeed very important for Odisha, India and for the whole of mankind. I am delighted and feeling fortunate that I am witnessing the making of this history and just not to be born afterwards to refer it as a reader.
His KISS ,the social organization will be considered as a grand mile-post of our civilization for generations and centuries to come.
