Senior Journalist Mr. B.S. Prabhurajan and Mr. K.H.Chandru, Photojournalist received the coveted ‘Rotary Midtown Silicon Journalism Award 2014’ in a glittering function held in Mysore city today.
Midtown presents this annual awards to professionals from media in recognition of their exemplary achievements.
In his long 35 years of experience in the field of journalism, Mr. Prabhurajan has the distinction of covering infamous forest brigand Veerappan’s two decades of presence in MM Hills areas. He has extensively covered varied events like sports, Politics, Science and education including the first Mahamastakhabhisheka held in 1980, all general elections of state and Centre for the last 3 decades. Rotary Central Mysore had awarded him with “Journalist Par Excellence Award” in the year 2012.
Presently Mr. B.S. Prabhurajan is working as a special correspondent with UNI. Earlier he has worked with various Kannada and English newspapers of the state.
