Bangalore gets cooking Gas Pipeline ‘Gas- in’

Bangalore, February 18: The union minister for petroleum and natural Gas Dr. M Veerappa Moily launched GAS IN FOR BANGALORE CITY, Supply of GAS for cooking through pipe line, in Bangalore today.

GAIL (INDIA) Limited is instrumental in bringing natural Gas to the people of Karnataka for the First time.
This Gas Transmission Network, built at a total project cost of Rs. 4500 crore, has a delivery capacity of 16 MMSCMD of Natural Gas and 73 kilometer of 18” diameter pipeline is laid in Bangalore exclusively for the transmission of Gas.

The Gas pipeline passes through Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Bellary, Davangere, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Ramanagaram, Bidadi, Bangalore Urban and Bangalore Rural.
