A recent pre-poll survey which gives BJP a thumping majority in the 2018 elections is doing the rounds in social media.

The pre-poll survey claims to have been conducted in April-May 2017, predicts a huge lead to the saffron party in all the parts of Karnataka. However, one wonders the veracity of this pre-poll survey and can BJP win 143 seats? Many believed that his pre-poll survey was authorised by the BJP itself. However, now, even BJP leaders seem to be surprised over this pre-poll survey!

We, at eNarada decided to catch up BJP’s senior leader and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council KS Eshwarappa to check if his party had any truck with the pre-poll survey?

Speaking exclusively to eNarada, Mr Eshwarappa said that though he had seen the survey doing rounds in social media, the saffron party had no clue about it. “Though we are sure of doing extremely well in the next year’s Assembly polls, I am bit surprised over the survey as to who conducted it. I can guarantee you that we have not conducted any such survey for sure.”

Many in social media too commented that it was a BJP authored survey because the survey results are closely associated with former chief minister and BJP state unit president BS Yeddyurappa’s mission 150.

It may also be recalled that Mr Yeddyurappa had recently mentioned of conducting an internal and a pre-poll survey so that they can feel the pulse of the people and also in selecting the right candidates for the next year’s polls.
