How often do you find a bureaucrat kick-starting a blood donation drive by donating blood? It seems rare as only few officials try to take up this noble cause.

Recently, senior IAS officer and Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) managing director Rakesh Singh inaugurated a blood camp and he was one of the first persons to donate blood.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said that blood donation is one of the noble initiatives and donating blood at regular intervals was good to health.

The blood donation drive that was held on July 1 helped KMF in collecting around 100 units of blood which donated to the Rashtrottana Blood Bank.
