The overwhelming victory for Congress in Dakshina Kannada has given a big boost for the Congress headed by Janardhana Poojary who was in charge of the party elections in the district. In a press conference after the election results were announced on Monday, March 11, 2013, he said “The Congress had promised to give a good administration and we will work hard to fulfill the promise we have given”.
Lambasting the BJP for causing communal disturbance spearheaded through the moral police said that the BJP has cheated the six crore population of the state during its rule by letting lose violence against women. “The people of the state have taught them a good lesson in these elections. In the ensuing state assembly elections we will win all the eight assembly seats”, he declared.
