The Annual Sri Siddharooda Swami jathra maotsav took place in Sri Siddharooda Mutt premises yesterday. For the First time Helicopters were used to shower petals on the grand Jathra procession. This event will take place every year a day after ‘Maha Shivarathri’ and devotees believe that Sri Siddharooda Swamiji as an incarnation of Lord Shiva himself.
People from all walks of life, from all ages, from all faiths and many devotees from abroad including NRI’s and foreigners enthusiastically participated in the car festival . Large number of people from neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Maharashtra were present .
Devotees were chanting ‘Hara Hara Mahadev’ ,OM Namaha Shivaya’ , ‘Om Sri Sidharooda Maharaj ki Jai’ while pulling the chariot. The make shift shops selling eatables , religious books and photos had a roaring business.
