‘Congress Mukth Karnataka’ (Congress free Karnataka) slogan coined by BJP is not in good taste and displays arrogance, opines congress.

By using the word ‘Mukth’ (Wipe out), BJP has expressed its arrogance and  shown disrespect to the constitution, said B.L.Shankar, Congrees leader from Karnataka.

Speaking to Enarada.com, Shankar said, winning and losing in elections are common but a political party should not indulge in exhibiting ‘dictatorship’ attitude.

According to Shankar, the Congress formed government with a clear majority on many occasions in the past and they have never said they are going to eliminate their opponents.

“None of the promises made by BJP are fulfilled, and it has become a habit for BJP leaders to attract people by using rhyming words without understanding the actual meaning. It is their strategy to divert the attention of people from their failure,” Shankar alleged.

Shankar also criticised NDA government for dispensing with the Planning Commission and replacing it with the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, saying newly formed aayog can only make policy but erstwhile commission was executing planning.

It can be recalled that Amit Shah, National president of BJP visited Bengaluru on December 3 to boost membership drive,  and called upon his party men to work hard to wipe out Congress from Karnataka.
