The annual chariot celebration of the emperor of Advaith Philosophy Sadguru Sri Siddharudha Swamiji held today in Hubballi.
Thousands of devotees participated along with their family members and enjoyed the spiritual fair by pulling the rath, honoring prasadam and observing rituals.
Devotees also carried the ‘Utsava moorthy’ of the Swamy Sri Gurunatharudha , ardent disciple of swamy Siddharudha in the procession .
As part of Maha Shivaratri Week Celebration, the Rathotsava event takes place every year after the Shivarathri. The Bhasma Snan (Holy Bath of Sacred Ash)event took place today between 5-00am to 6.00am.
The weeklong Shivarathri celebration which started on February 17 with Day and Night Bhajans and pooja amid Jagarane will conclude with Evening Blanket worshiping ‘Kaudi pooja’ on Friday.

Muth sources say that Swamy Sri Siddharudha’s spiritual mentor pujyasri Gajadanda Shivayogi blessed with initiation of Avadhootashram Diksha and guided the saint to initiate Shiva panchakshari mantra to his disciples to lead them towards the path of Self-Realization.
Then, Swamy Siddharudha went round India, Nepal, Ceylon, Tibet (china) and visited all holy places. He enlightened the devotees wherever he went, against ignorance, superstition and blind belief and directed them to realize divinity in themselves. Finally, the Great Spiritual Saint arrived at Hubli (Karnataka state) during 1877 then he was only 41 years old.
Holy Chanting of the Divine Mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” day and night at the Ashram is the constant spiritual vibration to save mankind from misery and suffering.
