Differently abled children showcase special skills

enarada DSC09740 - CopyA two-day art and craft exhibition ‘Vision – 2013’  and cultural programme ‘Saanidhya Utsav’ organized at Kadri Park in Mangalore provided a platform for differently abled children to amply display their skills and talents.

The two day programme held on April 13 and 14, 2013 was organized by Saanidhya Residential School and Training Centre, Shaktinagar  and attracted a large number of enthusiastic public who enjoyed the exhibition and the cultural programme presented by   the differently abled children.

A major attraction at the two-day programme was the display of a variety of handicrafts prepared by these kids with the support of their trainers.  The public were encouraged to buy these products to laud the efforts of the specially challenged children.  Some of their crafts were truly eye catching displaying their creativity and were a treat to the eyes.

The children also displayed their talent by presenting Saanidhya Utsav, today, April 14, 2013, a cultural programme which enthralled the audience.  The children performed yakshagana bayalata “Guru Dakshine” and Kannada Drama “Mathsara”.

The laudable performance proved that the differently abled children were equally talented as compared to normal children.

The venue was filled to the capacity as a large number of public viewed the cultural programme and enjoyed it thoroughly.

On this occasion  two achievers of the special school –  Anjana Devi, a national award winner and Madhushree, a national Paralympics athlete   were felicitated. (Posted on April 14, 2013)
