Dr A. Samanta is now PRIDE OF INDIA

ENARADA, Chennai, June 12, 2016

Dr Achyuta Samanta who has created waves across the globe by bringing thousands of tribal kids from remote forests to mainstream by offering free residential education has now been rightly conferred the most deserving PRIDE OF INDIA award.

He was conferred the Pride of India Award at a glittering progamme in Chennai on July 12 for his outstanding contribution towards upliftment of tribal community of the country through education.

In fact, this was a second consecutive award in as many days for Dr Samanta was honoured with ‘NIQR – Bajaj Auto Outstanding Quality Man Award 2016’ on June 11, 2016’. The ‘Outstanding Quality Man Award’ seeks to recognize individuals who have excelled in their sphere of activities.

Dr Samanta was honoured with these awards for standing as a best example of overpowering the perils of poverty and privation to position him to provide unseen opportunities to deprived sections of the society in a spirit of service, kindness and love.

He was also chosen this award for being an inspiration to millions of young people who are looking for a role model to emulate for serving the poor in the country.

Dr A. Samanta, who has no self-interest or personal agenda has made giant strides in leveraging education for poverty eradication, elimination of social alienation, rural development, socio-economic transformation and world peace. His brain child Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) is providing free education to 25,000 students’ free residential education to tribal students from KG to PG in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and also across the country.
