The Editor of Kannada Newspaper who has zero-tolerance to copyright issues received a warm appreciation from society. Hunaswadi Rajan, the editor of ‘Samyukta Karnataka’, took action against the fake author based on the complaint by the original author.
A rejoinder was released today in Samyukta Karnataka against the fake author.
Condemning Virupaksha Adahalli who lifted the entire article from another Kannada newspaper ‘Vishwavani’ and got it published in his paper claiming it as the original article, Rajan expressed his displeasure. ” We are sorry for the goof up. We never tolerate this type of mischief. As the fake author misused the trust of the newspaper, he is blacklisted and his articles are banned forever in our publications,” said Hunasawadi Rajan.
There was an interesting article about the behavioral change in society by popular columnist Srivathsa Joshi from Washington, the USA, published in Vishweshwar Bhat’s ‘Vishwavani’ Newspaper on January 19, 2020, with the title ‘ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಕುಕ್ಕರಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂರುವಿಕೆ’ (the ancient practice of sitting with legs folded is vanishing.)
Virupaksha Adahalli from Dharwad copied the entire article and submitted it to Samyukta Karnataka as his own. Without verifying the credentials, Samyukta Karnataka published it on February 2, 2020.
As Srivathsa Joshi has huge admirers all over the globe, his regular readers noticed it and reported it to him. Joshi spoke to Hunasawadi Rajan and described him about the mistake.
Today, Joshi saw a rejoinder in the Samyukta Karnataka and commended the editor for taking serious action against the copyright violator.
