ENARADA, Mysore, August 10, 2013:

“Please be careful when buying goods from online portals, as you may be cheated by fraudsters. Issued in public interest by Cyber Police”- the bulk sms sent by police few days ago warned the people against online shopping. But people ignore such suggestions and land themselves in trouble.

A student from outside the country, presently studying in Mysore, Mohad Dismark Addai residing at  Siddalingeshwara Layout and his friends  had booked three tablets through online shopping website based in New Delhi. He was excited to receive the parcel today through Indiaonline Courier company. His happiness soon ended when he discovered that he has been taken for a ride.

Out of three boxes only two contained actual Tablets which he had ordered and the third box had a piece of granite slab!

Both the Courier Boy Bharath and Courier firm executive Ramachandra denied any foul play by the Courier company saying that their job is to just deliver the goods and they are not responsible for any fraud.

It is reported that , Ambrane India had offered to sell mobile tablets at a discount price of Rs. 5,490 as against the quoted MRP of Rs. 8,850.

However Addai and his friends paid only for the two packets and returned the 3rd packet.
