Speaking to party spokes persons and Media Incharge from across the country at National Media workshop held at New Delhi, BJP president Amit Shah said it was time for every BJP man to strategise as to how they can reach to every individual about the achievements of the Central Government. “We have successfully completed our half of our five-year term. During this tenure, we have taken up a number of developmental activities. Now, it is time to tell our success stories. Hence, I want you to prioritise our achievements and convey the same to every voter in each parliamentary constituency of our country. For example, when Atal Behari Vajapayee was the PM, the GDP was in the range of seven plus but it nosedived to four per cent during UPA regime. However, our strong economic policies have ensured that the GDP is once again back to seven plus percentage points. Similarly, the government was formed to be on the poor man’s side. In the last three years, we have taken several steps to help the poor man. So, it is time to reach out to every poor man and apprise him of various initiatives. We will build 10 crore toilets by end of the term and also that all the villages will be electrified by 2018.”
Mr Amit Shah also asked the BJP functionaries to answer any cynical question from a journalist with smile. “I am sure a section of journalists may counter you saying that we have not done anything. So, I want each one of you to be equipped with facts and figures and organise a press conference in every Lok Sabha constituency and face the questions with a smile and a perfect answer.”
