Health Minister shows concern for dengue fever victims

Karnataka health minister U T khader  has directed the deputy commissioner of Mysore district  to inquire  about the incident  in which four children deaths of suspected  dengue fever at D saalundi village on the outskirts  of the city.

Speaking to newsmen here last night after meeting officials he said that directions have been issued to submit a report to the government   immediately. Chief Minister has assured that the he would reimburse the cost of the treatment if admitted in a private hospital.

He warned strict actions against the officials if such negligence continued.

Earlier the health minister visited to d sallundi , he said that about 150  blood samples were collected from the village. About 15 of the samples have been sent to the district laboratories for further analysis.

He said that the distinct administration should have acted before the outbreak of dengue, rather than taking delayed measures, the programmes of the department will be successful, only if it helps in preventing the disease, he added.

Stating that primary health care centers should work with the representatives of Gram Panchayat to ensure that such diseases are prevented before it spreads, he pointed out.

Assured that he would discuss with the chief minister providing relief to the families which have lost children due to the disease.
