The capsules are administered to increase the nutrition level
ENARADA, Mysore, July 17,2013:
As part of the state wide scheme, the Health and Family Welfare Department launched the Weekly Iron and Folic Acid supplementation (WIFS) programme at a government school today .
The programme is aimed to do away with nutritional anemia among children, adolescent girls and pregnant women in the State. Under the programme, Iron and Folic Acid capsules (containing 100 mg of elemental iron and 500 mg of Folic Acid) will be administered among the girls and boys studying from class 6th to 10th on every Monday in Government and Government-aided schools and Anganwadi centers.
