A daylong seminar was held in Hubli on September 26 addressed by British Deputy High Commissioner Ian Felton where investment options to both the countries in UK and India was stressed.

British Deputy High Commissioner Ian Felton while speaking at a seminar on   “business networking meets with U K Trade and Investment (UKTI)” appealed to the business community of Hubli-Dharwad to weigh the options of investing in UK.  He assured that the British government would extend all possible help to those interested to invest there.

The seminar was organized by UKTI in association with the Hubli chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).   The seminar was basically conducted to explore opportunities for people from  Hubli-Dharwad area to try their skills in entrepreneurial options.   The participants were explained how various sectors including life sciences offered myriad opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.  He also hinted that the British government was keen on partnering with India  in diverse fields.

Naveen Zhaa, President of TiE, Hubli chapter, speaking to Enarada.com said “we showcased our area to the British so attract them to doing business with India”.   Zha said the seminar received overwhelming response from participants numbering about 100.  “With the immigration issue taking centre-stage in the last few months, many  wannabee  entrepreneurs wanted  to get a clear picture on the issue.  “We understand the sentiments of the people and could do whatever help we could from our end”, said  Naveen Jha.
