Jakson bags two new solar rooftop orders in India

Bangalore, May 30, 2013: 

Jakson Power Solutions, India’s leading power solutions Company, today announced that it has secured two new orders for installing solar rooftop systems at Bangalore and Pune.

Jakson will set up the 80 KWp solar rooftop unit with a facility of battery back-up at Karnataka State Disaster Management centre, Bangalore. The project is slated to be completed by July 2013. The project will provide round the clock, uninterrupted power to the disaster management centre.

Under the second project awarded by M/s Ascot Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai, the company will set up a 77.14 KWp, grid connect solar PV system without  battery backup at a 4 star Hotel site near Pune, Maharashtra to meet partial energy requirements during daytime. This project will be commissioned by August 2013.

Jakson had installed the first 100 KWp BOO solar rooftop project at Raipur Airport in Chhattisgarh which was commissioned in November 2012. The company has installed 345 panels, which will produce 1,26,000 Kwh energy annually. It is the first major PV installation project in India for any airport and it is intended to meet the partial energy needs of the facility. The company will manage operation and maintenance of the facility for next 25 years. Based on successful commissioning of this project, AAI is replicating this model at various other airports under its fold.
