KADAK JOWAR ROTI: EAT IT SOFT!

There is good news for people who want to eat soft roti whenever they wish.  Now it is possible to soften the Kadak roti.  That too within a minute! (Please see Video)


Jowar roti has a long shelf life and therefore can be eaten over time.  Generally, there are two types of Jowar Rotis, KADAK (Hard and crisp) and the SOFT one. 


The Soft roti is meant to be eaten very soon after it is made; it is best when it is hot. Kadak roti has a shelf life of a few weeks.  However, if it is stored in a traditional method (Please see video), the shelf life would be much more.


Jowar roti, when eaten with stuffed eggplant, is a culinary delicacy in North Karnataka. It can be taken with chutney pudi, Gurellu/Huchchellu chutney powder, chilly chutney, pickles, and other vegetarian side dishes too.


Jowar roti or jowar bhakri are flat thin bread made of sorghum flour. The jowar flour is totally gluten-free and makes good unleavened bread, tasty and healthy. It is common across Karnataka, especially in the North Karnataka region, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, Goa and southern Gujarat.


Jowar roti is healthy. In fact, it is very popular among people who work in agricultural fields. It provides sustained energy over extended periods and it is affordable. One standard jowar roti of 60-70 centimeter diameter can keep one going for the whole day. 


Jowar roti is high in fiber like any other millet. So it is excellent for the diet of obese people. It is rich in protein and provides a range of much important daily need of minerals for the human body. The modern-day dieticians also recommend jowar roti for people suffering from diabetes.
