Ex-BJP Minister S.A.Ramdas was discharged from the hospital from a private hospital in Mysore this evening. Ramdas was admitted to hospital on February 12. He allegedly tried to commit suicide over an allegation made by a woman who claimed that he exploited her sexually with a false promise of getting married.

ENARADA, Mysore, February 14, 2014:

Ex-BJP Minister S.A.Ramdas was discharged from a private hospital in Mysore this evening.

Ramdas was admitted to hospital on February 11 after he allegedly tried to commit suicide.

He was upset  over an allegation made by a woman (Premakumari)  who claimed that he exploited her sexually with a false promise of getting married.

The woman met Police Commissioner M.A. Saleem at his office today and lodged the complaint.

Acting upon this, the Saraswathipuram police registered a case against Mr. Ramdas, who had allegedly attempted to commit suicide on Tuesday night following the woman’s charges.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) A.N. Rajanna confirmed that FIR had been registered against Mr. Ramdas based on the complaint.
