KiiT International School (KiiT-IS), a constituent of KIIT Group of Institutions, has posted excellent result in the Class XII examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), results of which were declared on May 28, 2014. All students of all three streams – Science, Commerce and Arts – passed in first class. In Science, Arts and Commerce streams students excel by securing 96%, 98% and 96% percent respectively.
KiiT-IS student Kamyaa Mishra topped Bhubaneswar Region in Humanities stream by securing 98% marks.
Even though this is only the third batch of Class XII students from KiiT-IS, a large number of students have qualified for prestigious national level entrance examinations such as JEE (Main), IIT, NIIT, CPT, CLAT, Delhi University, TISS, etc. Further, they have achieved international academic placement in institutions like University of British Colombia, University of Toronto, Western University of Canada and Hong Kong University.
KiiT International School is a new school established only in 2007, but its excellence has attracted attention of one and all. Recently, nearly 50% students of the school scored A1 grade in CBSE 10th Board examination, while all students passed.
“It is a matter of happiness that the School has reached such level within only six years of its inception”, said Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chair Person, KiiT International School. It is due to combined effort of staff, students and management, she added.

Kamyaa Misra of KiiT International School topped in Humanities in CBSE 12th Board Examination in Odisha and Eastern region. She has secured 98% marks with 100 marks in psychology. Kamyaa hails from Rairangpur of Mayurbhanja District. Her father Raj Kumar Misra is a businessman and mother Sunita Misra a housewife. We met Kamyaa in KiiT International School and asked about her success. She attributes her success to her sincere effort, parents, teachers and the School.
Q. How you feel after knowing that you are the topper in Odisha region?
Kamyaa: I felt excited. I had tried to do my best in the examination. But I did not expect to be the topper.
Q. To whom will you give credit for your success?
Kamyaa: First of all God’s blessing. Guidance of my principal, teachers and parents gave me this success.
Q. What is your key to success?
Kamyaa: Strong determination, regular study habit and proper guidance. Every day I studied for 8-10 hours. I devoted two hours to studies daily, besides school hours from 7:40AM to 3:30PM. I used to complete my homework in time. I read books thoroughly. Above all, the guidance of our principal and teachers gave me the success.
Q. What is your experience in KiiT International School?
Kamyaa: I think the teaching-learning process of KiiT International School is excellent. Teacher-Student relationship is very cordial. The most important thing is that, there is an emphasis on value and quality education. It is the first place where teachers have changed my outlook. They taught me how to be a good human being.
Q. What is your future plan?
Kamyaa: First of all I will do my bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I have applied in St. Stephens College and Lady Sriram College under Delhi University. After completing my graduation, I will pursue higher studies in foreign relations and Political Science.
Q. What is the goal of your life?
Kamyaa: Goal of my life is to become a diplomat. Through this I can contribute something to my country, state and society.
